Hello! I’m Sonja Tähtelä, an artist from Finland. Painting has always been a quiet companion in my life – something I was gently guided toward as a child. But only recently did I find the courage to truly embrace it, dive in with purpose, and begin creating with real intention.

As I painted more, I discovered my own unique style and vision. What I love most about art is that it doesn’t have to follow a strict formula – you’re free to try new things, break your own patterns, and let creativity lead the way. That freedom keeps the process exciting and alive.

While searching for the courage to fully step into painting, I’ve also had the chance to do other creative work. I’ve been involved in producing videos and photography, and organizing amazing entertainment events — projects that have brought me a lot of joy and inspiration. I truly hope to keep working in those fields too. But above all, I dream of using those skills to support how my art is presented and experienced — and to help create a sense of show and presence around it.

My biggest wish is that my paintings spark something in others — that they wouldn’t just be something to look at, but something to feel. I hope they raise questions, stir emotions, and leave people with something a little extra in their own lives. If even one person walks away with a new thought, a memory, or simply a feeling they can’t quite explain, I’m more than happy.

For me, art is something deeply human — something that no technology can truly replace. It’s a timeless form of expression that’s been with us for thousands of years, and I feel grateful to be a small part of that ongoing story.
